Anil Oommen, MAT, MATS
T. Anil Oommen is from Eugene, Oregon and has facilitated Our Whole Lives (OWL) groups since 2003 in both church and K-8 school settings. Anil started training OWL facilitators in 2011 and is currently working on bringing OWL values, principles and assumptions into Pacific University's teacher preparation program where he currently teaches. He is currently working on creating an online resource for educating pre-service teachers on issues of sexuality and identity within a social justice framework. |
Carisa Kluver, MSW
Carisa Klüver got her master's degree in social work in 1997 in the field of sexuality education and teen pregnancy prevention. Carisa has been a trainer of OWL facilitators since 1999. Carisa is an active member of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Luis Obisbo County, CA where she has been involved in the religious education and exploration programs, serving as a youth leader for many years. She and her husband Marc, were married in 2004 and have a young son, Zanfirico, who was born in 2006. Carisa is currently a stay-at-home parent, although she keeps busy by running several websites about parenting in the digital age. Her main site, Digital-Storytime.com, has over 1000 reviews of digital children's books, along with recommendations for raising young readers. She has been asked to speak to parents, teachers, librarians, children's authors and app developers about children's digital technology as well as writing for publications by the American Library Association, Scholastic and NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). |
